tall ships and trolleys.

Happy fourth to all my fellow Americans! If you are feeling really patriotic this weekend, you can spend a day visiting the Tall Ships that docked in Cleveland yesterday.

After work last night, Chris and I hopped on the trolley and took it to Voinovich Park to see the ships. Voinovich Park is located near the Rock Hall and Science Center.
Luckily the food trucks were there for a nice little dinner. We got chicken wraps and sat on the wall looking over the lake. It was fun to watch the boats and catch up on our day.

Lookin' Good Cleveland
Taking the trolley couldn't have been easier either. If you are ever in downtown Cleveland, the trolley is the easiest way to quickly get around. Did I mention it is free? The link will show you the routes. It's not hard to figure out. Or you can just ask the drivers like we did :)

Later that night, we stopped over to the Forest CityYacht Club where Chris' family boat is docked. The boat wasn't ready to go out, but we still sat with his family and enjoyed watching the kids on paddleboats putz around.
Our night wouldn't have been complete without ice cream. obviously. Mitchell's Ice Cream is located by Beachwood Place. There were so many choices! I tried the Carmel Sea Salt and ended up getting a scoop of the Carmel Fudge Brownie. Chris tried the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chunk and then got Banana Cream Pie.

All of Mitchell's ice cream is homemade with organic, local ingredients. I was very sad as I ate my ice cream...
How have I been living 10 minutes away from Mitchell's for three years and this is the first time I've had that little piece of heaven. Who let that happen? I have a lot of ice cream to eat to make up for that.

Challenge accepted.
